Following Govinda’s announcement of his upcoming film Roopa with newcomer Komal Rani Swarnkar, Sunita has openly criticized her husband and called out fans who previously trolled her for alleging his infidelity.

When paparazzi pointed out that some fans were now labeling the actor “Cheater No. 1” (a play on his hit 90s film Hero No. 1), Sunita directed her frustration at the very fans who had previously dismissed her claims. “I want to question all Govinda fans who trolled me when I said he cheated on me. Sunita’s intense reaction isn’t out of nowhere. In an older interview, she had publicly spoken about rumors of Govinda’s alleged affairs, specifically mentioning that he was involved with a Marathi actress and a newcomer named Komal.
At the time, she made her feelings abundantly clear, stating, “This name is a bit problematic. I hate the name Komal. There’s one Komal, XYZ, whoever it is. I hate her.”

Govinda Defends His Co-Star
Addressing the whirlwind of speculation, Govinda has stepped in to shield his co-star from the crossfire. Speaking to ANI, the actor praised Komal for maintaining her dignity and silence amid the media circus.
“The name that she is taking – Komal – I thank her. I am saved because she is not saying a word against anyone. She is quiet; otherwise youngsters don’t shy away from hurling abuses,” Govinda stated.
He further emphasized that Komal is not trying to use the controversy for leverage, adding, “I especially want to thank Komal for not saying a word wrong despite coming in the news because of this thing. She is not the kind of person who wants to get fame and attention using this means.”
