Just a few days ago, Ira Khan, daughter of Aamir Khan and Reena Dutt, offered a glimpse into her pre-wedding celebrations on social media. The festivities were graced by her friend Mithila Palkar, Aamir Khan's ex-wife Kiran Rao, and their son Azad Rao Khan. Scheduled for January 3, 2024, Ira and her longtime boyfriend Nupur Shikhare are gearing up for a wedding that will embrace Maharashtrian traditions, as per recent reports.

As per a News 18 report, a source has disclosed that the Khan family is delighted to kickstart the new year with a grand celebration. Ira Khan and Nupur Shikhare are set to tie the knot on January 3 at the luxurious Taj Lands End hotel in Bandra, followed by reception festivities in Delhi and Jaipur from January 6 to 10.

The report indicates that the couple will honor the groom's roots with a Marathi-style wedding. The majority of the jewelry shopping has been completed at a renowned store in Matunga, known for its traditional pieces and designs. Additionally, the food menu is expected to feature a diverse and extensive spread.

Furthermore, Aamir Khan, the proud father, is reportedly filled with excitement about his daughter's wedding. He has taken the initiative to personally extend invitations to friends and colleagues from the Bollywood industry, inviting them to join in and bestow their blessings upon the couple for this special occasion.

The source was quoted as saying, “Most actors aren’t in town due to the holiday season. But be assured that it’s going to be a star-studded affair. Those who won’t be able to make it to their big day will be a part of the reception in Jaipur.”

For those unaware, Nupur Shikhare is a professional fitness trainer. The couple officially got engaged in Italy last September, followed by an intimate engagement celebration two months later. Among the attendees were close family and friends, including actress Fatima Sana Shaikh.

Earlier this year in October, Aamir confirmed his daughter’s wedding while speaking to a news channel and had stated that he would cry a lot at Ira’ wedding. “Discussions have already begun in the family that ‘Aamir ko sambaalna uss din (take care of Aamir that day)’ because I am very emotional. I can’t control my smile nor my tears,” he had stated.
