Cricketer Virat Kohli and actor Anushka Sharma have joyfully welcomed a baby boy into their lives, as announced in a statement. The couple shared that their son, named "Akaay", was born on February 15.

Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma took to their Instagram accounts to announce, "Filled with immense joy and overflowing love, we are delighted to share that on February 15th, we welcomed our baby boy, Akaay, as Vamika's younger brother, into our lives!"

"We humbly ask for your blessings and good wishes during this special phase of our lives. We kindly request that you respect our privacy at this time," Virat and Anushka expressed.

Speculation surrounding Anushka Sharma's second pregnancy began circulating online in November 2023, particularly after her appearance at the Diwali celebration in Bengaluru prior to Team India's World Cup match against the Netherlands.

Although the couple has chosen to remain silent about Anushka's second pregnancy, observant fans noticed the actor's baby bump during the Diwali event, sparking widespread speculation and conjecture on the internet.

While Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma did not provide any updates themselves, former South Africa skipper AB de Villiers confirmed in early February that the couple was indeed expecting their second child.
