For those who may not be informed, the case stemmed from a raid conducted on November 3, 2023, at a rave party where allegations surfaced of snake venom being utilized as an intoxicant. The operation, spearheaded by Maneka Gandhi's People for Animals, led to the apprehension of five individuals believed to be snake charmers, following a tip-off.

Elvish Yadav, identified as the sixth suspect, was subsequently interrogated regarding his alleged involvement in the case. During the raid, authorities seized nine snakes and quantities of snake venom from the rave party.

However, the YouTuber denied any involvement in several videos and expressed willingness to cooperate with the police. Nevertheless, he was arrested on Sunday (March 17) under suspicion of his connection to the case. Yadav, reportedly held in 14-day judicial custody, faced additional charges. In addition to violations of the Wildlife Protection Act, he was charged under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, including Section 29, which deals with drug-related conspiracies involving trafficking and distribution. However, the NDPS Act was subsequently removed from the charges as the police cited it as a clerical mistake.

It's certainly a relief to hear that Elvish Yadav has been released from jail, bringing joy to his family and supporters.
