However, this pairing did not materialize, and the movie never came to fruition. Many fans were excited about the prospect of seeing Priyanka and Diljit share the screen, much like Diljit's chemistry with Parineeti. Unfortunately, the reasons behind why Diljit could not work with Priyanka Chopra in a film remain undisclosed.

However, the project didn't come to fruition because Priyanka had just transitioned to Hollywood for opportunities, particularly for her work on "Quantico." Although Priyanka requested them to wait, her sudden rise to fame and the show's second season order led to the movie's cancellation.

Boney Kapoor disclosed that the planned movie starring Priyanka Chopra and Diljit Dosanjh was titled "Sardarni." However, Priyanka's increasing Hollywood opportunities led her to prioritize her career there, resulting in the cancellation of their film project. It would have been intriguing to witness Diljit and Priyanka's on-screen pairing in the movie.

According to Swarn Sivia, as reported by India Today, the late actress Sridevi was a fan of Amar Singh Chamkila. She even expressed her desire for him to be a hero in films. However, Chamkila declined the offer, citing his inability to speak Hindi. Despite Sridevi's offer to tutor him within a month, Chamkila remained steadfast, fearing financial losses. Sridevi also agreed to star in a Punjabi movie with Amar Singh Chamkila, but unfortunately, it never materialized.
