In a conversation with Siddharth Kannan, Meera Chopra disclosed the existing distance in her relationship with cousins Priyanka Chopra and Parineeti Chopra. She emphasized that pretending to be close friends would be disingenuous. Despite the shared anticipation of mutual support upon entering the industry together, Meera expressed disappointment in the absence of such camaraderie. She clarified her stance of not seeking help and highlighted the unfortunate lack of assistance from her cousins, stating, "I'm not the one that asks for help, and even they never offered any help".


"Recalling their childhood, Meera fondly remembered the times when they were members of an extensive joint family, all living under the same roof. However, she remarked,"Jab koi bohot bada hojata hai toh baaki log chote lagte hai."

The actress revealed that she shares a close bond with Priyanka's family and was present at her wedding with Nick Jonas. In contrast, her relationship with Parineeti is not as strong, attributed to longstanding issues between their families. Meera clarified that she chose not to attend Parineeti's wedding to Raghav Chadha, emphasizing her decision to respect boundaries and avoid causing distress when families are not on speaking terms.


Meera clarified that, despite the strained ties with Parineeti, she remains closely connected with Priyanka's family. She is currently engaged in efforts to arrange a film screening for Madhu Chachi, expressing her sincere desire to share the film with them. Meera mentioned that Priyanka's family consistently extends their best wishes, and Priyanka herself has been consistently generous. "Priyanka is a person with a heart of gold, though the sisterly bond is absent. However, it is not missing from my side", she further added.
