According to a source, Aishwaryaa Rajinikanth will primarily have custody of their children, Yatra and Linga, as per the usual practice where the mother often gets custody. Dhanush has no intention of contesting this decision. The priority is to resolve matters peacefully. Even though Dhanush is not seeking custody, he remains committed to being there for his children.

Dhanush and Aishwaryaa tied the knot in 2004 and have two sons, Yatra and Linga, born in 2006 and 2010 respectively. They publicly announced their separation in January 2022 and have now decided to proceed with the legal formalities.
