Ridhi Dogra captivated by Shah Rukh Khan's Dunki; becomes 'Jawan ki mummy,' attracting attention from people



Bollywood icon Shah Rukh Khan's stellar 2023 continues with the release of his third film, Dunki, on December 21, following the success of Jawan and Pathaan. Ridhi Dogra, his co-star from Jawan, recently attended a screening of Dunki and took to Twitter to share intriguing moments from the interval.

Yesterday, Ridhi Dogra posted a photo on her Instagram stories, capturing the theater screen while enjoying the Shah Rukh Khan-led film "Dunki." In a subsequent post on X (formerly Twitter), she disclosed that during the movie's intermission, individuals recognized her as 'Jawan ki mummy' and approached her. Adding a touch of humor, she proudly tweeted about her 'son' and his latest film.



For those unfamiliar, Ridhi Dogra portrayed the character of Kaveri Amma, Azad's (played by Shah Rukh Khan) adoptive mother in the movie Jawan. The cast also included Nayanthara, Vijay Sethupathi, Deepika Padukone, Priyamani, Sanya Malhotra, Sunil Grover, and others.


After the release of Jawan in September, Ridhi Dogra expressed her thoughts on her Instagram account regarding her experience working on the film. She shared, “As an actor, I thought ‘Wow, it’s an Atlee film and I’m playing Old and that too to Shah Rukh! AM I MAD?!’ And I decided to do it. For the Kick of it. To get uncomfortable. To stay Mad.”


Ridhi Dogra showered compliments on Shah Rukh Khan, stating, “I was speechless or dumbfounded. And the old age prosthetics didn’t help my swag AT ALL. But to see Shah Rukh on set. His dedication. His patience. His focus. His commitment to the larger picture was just such a Privilege. I know i got a Lifelong answer to ‘who’s your favorite costar’ !!!”

The movie had a strong start at the Indian box office, garnering Rs 28 crores on its opening day. It maintained its momentum on the subsequent day, accumulating Rs 20.5 crores on Day 2.
