Recall the heartwarming moment when John Cena's rendition of 'Bholi Si Surat' melted the internet? Well, it has now made its way to its final destination - none other than Shah Rukh Khan himself! The Bollywood icon took to X (formerly Twitter) on February 25, responding to the viral video with delight and a playful challenge.
The chain of events began with a gym session video shared by wrestler Gurv Sihra. In the video, Cena, a self-professed "pretty big Shah Rukh Khan fan," was introduced to the iconic song. With dedicated enthusiasm, Cena earnestly followed along, impressively singing the Hindi lyrics with accuracy.
Several days later, the video caught Shah Rukh's attention, sparking his immense delight. He retweeted the video, expressing his admiration for both Cena and Sihra. "Thank you both.... Love it and love you @JohnCena," he penned, playfully issuing a challenge, "I'm going to send you my latest songs, and I expect a duet from the two of you again!!! Ha ha."
Needless to say, fans went into a frenzy. Comments such as "You are the world's craziest fan, sir," "You're a legend for a reason," and "Wow wow" inundated the post, accompanied by an abundance of heart-eye and red-heart emojis.
‘Bholi Si Surat’ is a song from the 1997 film Dil To Pagal Hai, a musical romance directed by the legendary Yash Chopra. The movie featured Madhuri Dixit, Karisma Kapoor, and Akshay Kumar alongside Shah Rukh Khan.
Shah Rukh Khan was last seen in Rajkumar Hirani's Dunki, where he starred alongside Taapsee Pannu, Vicky Kaushal, and others.
