Shehnaaz Gill Seeks Risky Roles After 'Thank You For Coming' Success

Shehnaaz Gill, a renowned actress and reality TV star, currently gracing the comedy film 'Thank You For Coming,' expresses her ambition to craft a diverse filmography. Hailing from the Punjabi film industry, she gained widespread recognition through her appearance on the 13th season of the reality show 'Bigg Boss' in 2019, and her Bollywood debut alongside Salman Khan in 'Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan' earlier this year.

At 29 years old, Gill has observed a recurring trend where filmmakers frequently offer her roles that closely resemble her real-life personality. She has expressed her apprehensions regarding this pattern by saying, "Don't judge a book by its cover, read me carefully. They (makers) are thinking of me in a certain way. I feel they want to show my real self on screen but I can't be doing only this kind of role. Like, recently I heard a script, in which I'm playing a beautiful girl who is an internet sensation.

Shehnaaz Gill expressed her desire to break away from projecting her own personality on the big screen. “I want to do something different on screen. I would like filmmakers to take risks and present me in a different way. I'm willing to do a workshop and all. I believe my talent just gives me a chance to do different things.

Shehnaaz revealed in the same conversation what persuaded her to join the latest romantic comedy. "I believe in narrations.

'This is something different, let's do it.' Sex education is very important. This is really very important," Shehnaaz concluded.
