Sunny Deol celebrates the success with team as film crosses Rs 200 crore mark at box office.

"Gadar 2," the sequel to the 2001 blockbuster "Gadar: Ek Prem Katha," featuring Sunny Deol and Ameesha Patel in the lead roles, has hit theaters and is currently drawing substantial attention at the box office due to its remarkable success. The film's ensemble cast includes Utkarsh Sharma, who takes on a prominent role as Jeetey. In this character portrayal, he embodies the grown-up son of Tara Singh and Sakina.

The storyline unfolds against the backdrop of the 'Crush India' initiative in 1971, with the central narrative revolving around Tara Singh's unwavering determination to rescue his son Charanjeet from the clutches of Pakistan's military after his capture by them. Notably, the beloved tracks from the original 2001 film, namely "Udd Jaa Kaale Kaava" and "Main Nikla Gaddi Leke," have been revisited and incorporated into "Gadar 2." As a testament to its triumph, the film has now surged past the notable milestone of crossing the Rs 200 crore mark at the box office.

Sunny Deol shares his unwavering belief in Gadar 2:

During a recent press conference held in Mumbai, Sunny Deol discussed the moment they realized the necessity of creating the film and whether any uncertainties arose, considering the evolving profile of the audience since the release of the debut film. Sunny expressed, "We don't think in that manner. Once we had firmly decided to proceed, we were committed to the task. There was a gap of 22 years in the field, with no one producing such a film. We entered the scene and carried out our responsibilities."

He also disclosed that when he first heard the script, he was scared because living up to the standard set by the original movie 'Gadar' seemed challenging. However, his feelings changed over time, and he developed a fondness for the story as he listened to it.
