During an interview with PTI, the actor mentioned, "Regarding Gadar 2, what transpired is that all my fans and those who yearned for the type of cinema reminiscent of 'Gadar'... We maintained the storyline in that vein, and audiences came to witness the character that holds a profound place in their hearts.

He went on to mention that the intriguing aspect was the connection formed with the new generation. "Otherwise, I wasn't linked with them. Through my work in Gadar 2, they have observed what I'm involved in, and they are now exploring some of my earlier films," expressed Deol.

Following the premiere of Gadar 2, Deol shared that he took the time to visit several theaters and was deeply moved by the audience's reaction. "The love and appreciation were palpable, and it was a gratifying experience. I am grateful for the affection and confidence bestowed upon me. Moving forward, I am committed to making films that resonate with people and bring joy," expressed Sunny.
