Twinkle Khanna Unveils Valentine's Day Gifts from Husbands, Reflects on the Essence of a Perfect Relationship.

Renowned Bollywood figure, Twinkle Khanna, known for her transition from actress to author, regularly shares her life experiences through social media, books, and columns. In her latest column, as Valentine's week unfolds worldwide, she offers a whimsical perspective on Valentine's Day, sharing thoughts on love while being married to Akshay Kumar.

Twinkle Khanna's humorous take on Valentine's Day

In her recent column for The Times of India, Twinkle Khanna delves into the global celebration of Valentine's Day, weaving humor and wit. Drawing on renowned thought experiments such as Plato's Cave and Occam's Razor, she playfully speculates on the origins of Valentine's Day, envisioning it as a medieval board meeting experiment.

With her trademark style, Khanna humorously reflects on what husbands might gift their spouses after a decade of marriage on this day. She amusingly suggests a scenario where people, post-Christmas, discuss sales decline and devise a plan to have the already financially drained population buy gifts again.

In drawing a distinction, she referenced the words of German-American philosopher Hannah Arendt, who asserted, 'An experience becomes apparent only through expression. Without being articulated, it is, in a sense, non-existent.'

The Mela actress further opines that Valentine's Day, with all its consumerism, may help flesh out the abstract concept of love, however, if one 'ask women who have been married for over a decade, the most honest answer to ‘What did your husband give you on Valentine’s Day?’ would be, ‘As usual, a headache,’' she writes.

She concludes by asserting that love itself is the greatest thought experiment. Ironically, acknowledging imperfections, with or without roses and cards, fosters an imperfectly perfect relationship.

Twinkle Khanna and Akshay Kumar, married since 2001, are proud parents to Aarav and Nitara.
