In a recent interview with Siddharth Kannan, Vivek Vaswani shared that his last encounter with Shah Rukh Khan was at the actor's birthday celebration at Mannat in 2018. Vaswani recalled Khan's invitation, expressing a desire for Vaswani to meet his children, and described enjoying himself at the event. Reflecting on their relationship, Vaswani addressed why he hadn't reached out to Khan during his recent struggles, including battling cancer. Vaswani mentioned Khan's busy schedule and multiple phones, highlighting the challenges of connecting with him. Despite unsuccessful attempts to contact Khan, Vaswani expressed understanding, acknowledging the actor's numerous responsibilities and hectic lifestyle.

In the same interview, Vaswani disclosed that Shah Rukh Khan generously agreed to work on his production venture, Dulha Mil Gaya, without charging any fee. The 2010 comedy-drama, starring Sushmita Sen and Fardeen Khan, featured Khan in a significant role. Vaswani recalled Khan's willingness to participate without even hearing the script beforehand, demonstrating his support for Vaswani's debut production. Despite Khan's substantial 42-minute role in the film, none of his scenes were edited out, as per Vaswani. He emphasized that Khan's contribution was integral to the film, underscoring the significance of his presence on screen for the entirety of his allotted time. Since then, Vaswani has transitioned into the field of education.
