West Bengal BJP Chief's Meeting with Mithun Chakraborty in Kolkata Hospital Sparks Viral Sensation

Veteran actor and politician Mithun Chakraborty was hospitalized at Apollo Hospital in Kolkata on Saturday after suffering a stroke. An official statement reported weakness in his right upper and lower limbs. Fans were shocked by the news. Recently, West Bengal BJP chief Sukanta Majumdar paid a visit to the actor-turned-politician at the Kolkata hospital.

BJP chief visits Mithun Chakraborty at the hospital in Kolkata

A day following Mithun Chakraborty's hospitalization, West Bengal BJP Chief Sukanta Majumdar paid him a visit. The widely circulated video captures Chakraborty engaged in conversation with the political leader and others, lying on the hospital bed. The footage also shows various drips connected to the veteran actor's arm during his treatment.

Mithun Chakraborty's co-star Debashree Roy shares health update

In addition to this, as a relief to Mithun Chakraborty’s fans, his Shastri co-star Debashree Roy and director Pathikrit Basu spoke to Zoom as they shared his health update. The concerned director while speaking to the portal revealed that he met the veteran actor and confirmed that he is better. “Mithunda also said that he would resume the shoot after a few days. He talked about the things he would be doing when he comes back on the set,” he was quoted as saying.

Furthermore, Debashree Roy mentioned that Mithun Chakraborty's blood sugar levels had dropped, but his health has improved, and he's no longer in the ICU. She stated, "I visited Mithunda at the hospital. Thankfully, he's doing better now. He was admitted in time, though his blood sugar levels had dipped, causing discomfort. However, he's now out of the ICU and recovering in a regular room."

The veteran actor was preparing for the filming of his upcoming movie, "Shastri," alongside Debashree Roy. The filming was set to start on February 23.

Hospital officials reported that Mithun Chakraborty arrived at the emergency department at 9:40 am, complaining of weakness on the upper right side. He was diagnosed with an Ischemic Cerebrovascular Accident (Stroke).
