This is why Diljit Dosanjh isn't claiming credit for his iconic Coachella performance

Actor-singer Diljit Dosanjh, recognized for his achievements in Punjabi and Hindi cinema as well as his musical talents, recently shared his thoughts on performing at the esteemed Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival. Despite his accomplishments, Diljit modestly admitted to feeling inadequate about his involvement in the event.

In a conversation on Ranveer Allahbadia’s YouTube podcast, Diljit Dosanjh discussed his Coachella performance, characterizing it as a significant and somewhat surreal moment. He confessed to feeling unworthy of such a prestigious opportunity, crediting his presence at the festival to what he perceived as "God's will."
Diljit Dosanjh recognized the significance of the occasion, especially as it signified the inaugural invitation for an Indian artist to perform at Coachella. Despite his reservations, he exerted his utmost effort and delivered memorable performances, leaving a lasting impact on the audience.

He expressed, "It was an amazing experience, but I personally felt I wasn't the most deserving candidate. It was simply by the grace of God that I had the opportunity to perform there. I was aware of the immense significance of Coachella, especially as it marked the first time an artist from India was invited to perform. It was a monumental occasion. I dedicated myself wholeheartedly to deliver my best performance."

Surprisingly, Diljit Dosanjh disclosed that performing at Coachella was not a lifelong aspiration for him, but rather a milestone he included in his list of achievements. Despite not actively seeking international acclaim, he accepted the opportunity and tackled the challenge with enthusiasm.

In addition to his musical pursuits, Diljit Dosanjh delved into his acting career, sharing similar feelings of self-doubt. Despite his achievements in movies like "Udta Punjab" and "Good Newwz," Diljit admitted to feeling like a beginner in the field of acting, having never undergone formal training. He attributed his collaboration with renowned director Imtiaz Ali to luck rather than skill, recognizing the numerous talented actors Ali could have selected instead.
Diljit Dosanjh's humility and sincerity are evident as he navigates his diverse career, consistently pushing himself and welcoming fresh opportunities. His upcoming role as the legendary Punjabi singer Amar Singh Chamkila in Imtiaz Ali's film "Amar Singh Chamkila" highlights his versatility and dedication to his artistry. Scheduled for release on Netflix on April 12, audiences eagerly await Diljit's depiction of the iconic personality.
