Within just 49 days of 2024, six celebrity couples, ranging from Sania Mirza and Shoaib Malik to Pavitra Punia and Eijaz Khan, have already called it quits.

Less than two months into 2024, six celebrity couples, including Sania Mirza, Esha Deol, and Eijaz Khan, have already ended their relationships.

Within just 49 days of 2024, the year's beginning hasn't been auspicious. Over the past month and a half, a total of six celebrity couples have decided to part ways. The trend began with Sania Mirza's unexpected posts hinting at marital troubles.

Adding to the list of splits is the latest couple-turned-ex-couple, the duo from the reality TV shows Bigg Boss and Khatron Ke Khiladi. Nyrra Banerji and Nishant Malkhani, who initially crossed paths on the sets of the TV series Rakshabandhan, have also called it quits.

In the previous year, several celebrity couples, such as Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Aliya Siddiqui, Yo Yo Honey Singh and Shalini Talwar, Sushmita Sen and her boyfriend Lalit Modi, and Rajeev Sen with wife Charu Asopa, decided to end their relationships. However, it was Kusha Kapila's divorce from Zorawar Singh Ahluwalia that garnered significant attention in the media.

In 2024, there has been unfortunate news of several couples parting ways and embarking on separate paths in life.

1. Nyrra Banerji – Nishant Malkhani

Nyrra and Nishant initially crossed paths on the set of the TV series Rakshabandhan. While Nishant ventured into Bigg Boss, Nyrra joined the reality show Khatron Ke Khiladi. Despite expectations of marriage, Nishant addressed in an interview with TOI that they've decided to remain friends instead.

2. Sania Mirza – Shoaib Malik

The world was taken aback when Shoaib Malik shared photos of his third wedding without prior announcement of his separation from his former wife, Sania Mirza. Subsequently, it came to light that the tennis star opted for a Khulla with Shoaib, and the family appealed for privacy from the media.

3. Esha Deol – Bharat Takhtani

In a recent statement provided to a media outlet, Esha Deol confirmed her split from her husband, Bharat Takhtani. Speculation about their separation had been circulating, notably when Bharat was absent from Hema Malini's lavish birthday celebration in 2023, as well as Esha Deol's own birthday festivities.

4. Dalljiet Kaur – Nikhil Patel

Actress Dalljiet Kaur, who tied the knot with businessman Nikhil Patel from Kenya last year, is reportedly facing challenges in her marriage. Following their wedding, she relocated to Nairobi and resided there with her nine-year-old son Jaydon from her previous marriage to Shalin Bhanot. Amidst speculations of a separation, Dalljiet and Nikhil have unfollowed each other on Instagram and removed all traces of their wedding pictures from their profiles.

5. Pavitra Punia – Eijaz Khan

Rumors of Pavitra and Eijaz's separation have been circulating since the previous year. Recently, Eijaz relocated out of their residence in Malad, while Pavitra chose to remain there. In an interview cited by Times Now, Eijaz expressed, "I hope Pavitra finds the love and success she deserves." Pavitra also shared her thoughts on their relationship, acknowledging that it had run its course and expressing her wishes for Eijaz's success in life.

6. A Twist In Tale – Shubhangi Atre – Piyush Poore

Last year, Shubhangi Atre, known for her role in "Bhabiji Ghar Par Hai," announced her separation from her husband Piyush Poore, with plans to file for divorce this year. However, according to a report by Hindustan Times, "There was a time when the couple tried to work on their relationship and give a second chance to their marriage. But that didn’t work out. They have made peace with the fact that they can’t live together, but they don’t want to go ahead with the divorce proceedings."

Let's hope that 2024 doesn't bring any more such heartbreaking news, and that everyone finds happiness and togetherness in their own little paradise.
